Chelsea Evelyn Consulting is an online wedding and event consulting/coordinating business that helps you plan your important life events. I can provide the tools for you to plan your event yourself or more completely help you plan your event (virtually or in person). More information on what we have to offer can be found on our coordination and consulting page but the important thing to know is that Chelsea will help you realize that in a world that is on-the-go, planning an event doesn't have to stop you in your tracks.

Chelsea attended her first wedding at the age of 3 when her

mother and father got married on a boat on the 4th of July.

Though she only remembers eating cake - under a table

apparently - from that day, she is confident that that first

wedding engrained a love of them in her heart. Growing up she

attended MANY weddings due to the fact that her mother was

a notary public working at a large resort on the Maine

coast. In Maine a notary is able to marry people and came in

very handy for the numerous elopements that occurred at the

resort every summer. Chelsea was a lucky attendee at a large

number of these as an unofficial photographer or videographer

and - when she was old enough - a witness to the beautiful

event. As if this all weren't enough, she grew up working at that

- and other - venues that hosted beautiful midcoast Maine

weddings. In high school she found her love of planning, but it would be a number of years before her dream became a reality.

                                                                                                   

Chelsea first dreamed of opening a business like Chelsea Evelyn Consulting in the fall of 2013 as an MBA student after a long (and virtually unquenched) desire to plan weddings and other events. Following her graduation in 2015 she returned to Maine where she finally found her first official weddings and event planning job at a small ocean side Inn. She quickly learned the value of her experiences outside wedding and event planning (specifically in different service industry positions at restaurants and hotels) over the years when it came to the process of making a couple's dream a reality. She had learned patience and versatility from the positions she held as well as through her education. Both important qualities to be able to bring to the table when planning a couple's special event.

 

On a more personal level, after returning to Maine from graduate school, Chelsea met her now husband, Andrew. Andrew is a proud member of the United States Coast Guard. Given the nature of this job soon after marriage they were re-stationed moving them from the Maine Coast to the Texas Coast. She realized that starting the business that she had dreamt of back in 2013 would become a reality, especially in the midst of a life of constant adventure moving from place to place and with the addition of their first child in December 2018, their second in April 2021, and their third in September 2023! Why I started Chelsea Evelyn Consulting

I founded Chelsea Evelyn Consulting based on my experiences that today's couples may not have the extra time or the money to dedicate to planning life's special events. What they do desire is to be able to control the process of planning on their own so they don't need to give up the details to someone who may be a virtual stranger. Deciding to make Chelsea Evelyn Consulting an online based consulting business allows the people I work with the freedom to plan on their own but also the affordable guidance to help reduce the stress of planning. Another huge part of why I started this business was from experiences with friends planning their own events. They all asked similar questions and had similar struggles in the do-it-yourself process of event planning and that led me to develop my business offerings in a way that would help someone like them in the future.

Above all this, it is one of my greatest joys in life when I can make the people around me smile. I hope that in starting this business and working with people around the country that I can lessen the stress of planning and add a little more sunshine to those special moments in life (and subsequently special memories).
